Hi there.
I am a 21-year-old male, and for 6 months now there is a problem bugging me. Ever since September, giant hives started to appear on my body. The first time I noticed them I was really scared. I went straight to ER, spent 5 days in the hospital, and have been given steroids and antihistamines.
Everything was good–I got out and diagnosed with giardia lamblia. I had a treatment with antihistamines and albendazole, and then when I finished the treatment…BANG! They hit again.
This has been happening every 2 weeks or so every time doing corticosteroids and antihistamines. I have been on antihistamines for almost 6 months now. And for the last 3 weeks or so, I didn’t have a day with no hives on my body.
This type of hives comes in my feet or hands too, feels itchy deep inside and they are painful. They migrate, and lately they have been affecting my tights and hips mostly, but my ankles and hands too. Also , for the first time it occurred on my ears too.
I am sick of them. I have been through 2 albendazole treatments, and now the blood test result show absolutely nothing abnormal: no protein c reactiveness, no rheumatoid factor, no IgG IgM or IgE problem, blood count perfectly normal, VSH normal.
I don’t know what to do. I am sick of diets and cannot deal with them anymore. If anybody else experienced this, please, I will try anything to get rid of it.
Thanks,
George

Hey George,
I know how you feel. It’s miserable. Try sweat treatments to break the barrier in the morning. Pain leads to relief. Hot showers in the morning and force yourself to sweat might be your only option right now. Diets didn’t work for me. This treatment did.
The cold weather brought my CU back but I was able to be pre-emptive this winter. I eat extremely spicy foods on a daily basis to keep my tolerance through the roof. Obviously this isn’t an option for everyone but it is working like a charm. No outbreaks this winter for me.
