Okay, so I’m a male, 18 years old, and a senior in high school. I only have this in the winter months.
Every morning I will get up, get dressed for school, get my backpack ready, and go upstairs to brush my teeth. When I walk up the stairs, my back will start to tingle and eventually itch.
This year (2013-2014 winter months) has been the worst it has ever been. Painful intense itches all over my body from my waist up. Never on my legs. I don’t know what I can do to fix this.
I went to the doctors and he said it may be allergies. So I had an allergy test don and recently got the results back. I’m allergic to Timothy grass, rag weed, birch trees, two types of fungus (intensely), cats, and dogs. The thing is I have a cat. But I’m only 0.45 allergic to cats, so I don’t think it’s her. But the itches come every day in the winter when I get over heated, nervous, embarrassed, or stressed out.
Can someone give me some pointers so I can get through this? I don’t want this to affect my future in college and work.
Thank you,
-Jake S.

The thing that worked for me the most in “curing” my cholinergic urticaria was eliminating foods from my diet that were troublesome. I talk about it some here: https://www.cholinergicurticaria.net/allergy-elimination-diet-cholinergic-urticaria-hives-my-experiences/
Besides that, I do also do a few other things, such as exercise, lotion, etc. to help keep my symptoms away. It totally changed my life, and I now live hives free.
If you haven’t done so already, I’d encourage you to spend some time reading this site to find what’s helped me, as well as what’s helped others.
I hope your hives get better soon. God bless.

Hi, friend.
Yep, I sure can. I’ve written an entire book on the subject, and I’ve spent hours writing stuff on this website as well. You are more than welcome to spend as much time as you’d like reading either of those if you want the complete details.
