I cannot believe I have finally found the medical name to this annoying reaction I get when my body temp rises. I tell my parents and they think I am imagining things.
I hate going outside. I have always told people that I would rather be cold than hot, and cholinergic urticaria is half the reason why.
The hives appear all over my body: my face, butt, arms, legs, head, everywhere! I have been to the doctor, and no help has come.
It gives me relief knowing that there is at least a name to this. I’m rambling and I really have no reason to type this except to say that I am thankful that this website exists.
Thank You 🙂

Hello Dawn,
Thanks for your post, and welcome to the forum! I can relate with everything you said. I often though that I’d enjoy living as an Eskimo to avoid the painful sting of cholinergic urticaria. It was also very hard dealing with people who simply did not understand what I was going through.
I’m glad you found this site, and I certainly hope you find some information here that helps you overcome this condition and live a happy and normal life.
God bless,
Hivesguy

Try eating all natural and organic. I did a wide allergy test and they have not found anything im. Allerguc to but i know when i take pennicillin i get skin welts. Ive been getting th3se hive 7 to 8 times a day since i was 6 or 7. Im now 34. I recently switched my diet to organic and cut out milk and processed flour and i run almost daily and they have not came one except a few spots a day after i had pizza. I think my skin is allergic to all the chemical and pesticides on food.
