I started having hives symptoms about 3 years ago after an overseas trip where the climate there was dry (with low humidity), and since then the situation worsened. I could get very severe welts and red swellings over my arms, body and thighs, and it always came during evening for few hours (and goes away).
The level of itch is quite unbearable, and the persistent condition limited my social activities in the evening.
Even with my doctor prescribing me Loratadine, it still came back about 2 week after the medication. I then started to explore ways to manage or cure it and what causes the trigger.
Finally, I made good progress. Here are the few pointers that worked for me:
– know the cause of trigger (for my case, alcoholic drink, shrimp, squid, crab..etc)
– sleep well ( I used to slept just few hours)
– exercise more to sweat it out!
– use the pointers of Dr Gary M.
I am now in good condition, and hope these tips may help some of you out there who has been in debilitating and discouraging conditions of chronic hives.
Wish every well!

In a way i can kind of confirm this. Every year in gym class which was 85 minutes long. The first 25 minutes were TERRIBLE because of my urtiaria. Than after that i was fine. But it was the longest and most painful 25 minutes of my life. Never had it again for the rest of the day. Only once a week i had gym though
