Hello Everyone!
I have recently brought comments back. I had originally removed them due to the excessive amount of spam I received, and also the difficulty in reply to comments (I would have to go and load each individual page of that article to reply to each comment).
Now, I have upgraded the blog so that it makes it much easier for me to moderate & reply to comments. So I will give it another go for those who have expressed interest in commenting on articles.
This way everyone can post your opinions on the article or discuss your experience if you wish to do so.
A Few Things About the Comments:
- I will do my best to reply if a question is directed towards me, however, if you are simply posting your opinions/thoughts I may not personally reply {Example: I agree, great post}. So if you simply post your opinion & I don’t reply, please don’t get offended, because I suppose out of nearly 100 articles on this site & counting, I may get anywhere from 1-100 comments per day. So I may not be able to give a reply to every comment posted.
- If you want to open discussion with others, or get a guaranteed reply, it would be best to open a thread on the forum. Again, I will try to respond to any questions asked on the comment part. I suppose comments are best to share your views, etc. The forum is probably best to open discussion with others.
- I will delete any spam comments. This doesn’t really apply to most of you, but if I suspect spam, or if a comment gets put in the spam folder, it will get deleted automatically by the software.
- I moderate all comments before approving them for this very reason. I have had people posting porn & drug links, and I can’t have them doing that. So if you have a genuine comment, I will always approve it. It may take a day or two at the most, but I always will approve it. I will try to approve any comments I receive on the site at least 1-2 times per day.
- I may in the future add a feature as to turn off comments on a post that is old after so many days, or I may turn comments off on certain articles from time to time. But at this point I have no immediate plans to do either. I just thought I would mention that just in case I ever have to do it in the future.
- Please be nice. No flaming, being rude, cursing, etc. Of course, I don’t e xpect anyone will do this, as everyone has been very polite on the forum. I may edit any comments with inappropriate stuff in them.
