Hey,
I’m 36-year-old male and have had this cholinergic urticaria for about 7 years. Then asthma started 4 years ago.
It is really a piece of crap to deal with, and I deal with it every single day!!! I’m seriously searching for a cure. I’m a nurse in one of the top 10 hospitals in the USA, and I’m in Chinese medicine school studying acupuncture and herbology.
I want to end cholinergic urticaria! I had an acupuncture treatment by a teacher and fellow students, and for 24 hours I was CU free. I was able to sit in the sun, sweat, it was heavenly. I could physically feel it leave my body. I hope to figure out what the hell this is, and I’m not alone.
I’m so glad there is a website like this. I know I need to stop dairy, stop gluten and force myself to sweat. The sweating part scares me, because the hives make me feel so crazy insane and itchy and they burn like crap. It’s not fair!!!
I want to ride my bicycle and go for a run, but instead this stupid illness has made me a couch potato!! We have to stick together and share our cure stories to help each other out.
Keep fighting,
-Carlos

Hi, All, this is already my third post,
For me it was also started when i was about 16 years old (now i am 34), so i have also experienced many years of very painful and itchy feeling whenever the sweating is going to occur, and it also drove me crazy.
Until when i was 22, i found a way to nearly eliminate this problem, which is by forcing my self exercise regularly (within every 24 hours period), and it has to be an exercise which force you to sweat a lot, (i.e running or sauna)
Now i run on thread mil nearly every day (every 24 hours), at constant speed of 12 km/h for at least 20 mins, which force my
body to sweat a lot, if you can keep doing so for everyday, try it and see if there is any improvement, the only thing is you must to keep up with this habit by forcing your self to exercise (sweat a lot) regularly, because if you stopped, the symptom will come back.
It is actually beneficial for me, since it force me to exercise regularly, and i have gain numerous health benefit from the exercise.
