I’m a 19-year-old male who’s had cholinergic urticaria for about 2-3 years now. Seems to occur usually only in the winter months. Does anyone else have cholinergic urticaria that seems strongly concentrated on their outer hands and feet. Ninety percent of my hives nowadays occur in these regions.
I have the typical triggers: playing sports, getting nervous, spicy foods, cold to hot, etc. And does anyone else get an intense outbreak of hives right when they get out of bed in the morning? It happens every day for me.
Also, I’ve tried sweat therapy but it doesn’t seem to work for me. Any other treatment options?
I’m on Zyrtec, but it doesn’t seem to be helping much.
Thanks,

Hi buddy, have you thought about getting an allergy test done? Zyrtec will help somewhat but the allergy test could show new things which maybe causing it to flare up

Hi, please see my extremely lengthy, detailed October 24, 2016 post on this forum. I was cured of CU by adopting a whole-food, plant-based (“vegan”) diet. Modern science is beginning to understand the mechanism as to why this works. CU is an autoimmune disorder. Eating a diet high in fiber serves to regulate the immune system, preventing it from overreacting. This solution is easy, it is inexpensive, and it works. Give it a try.
