Hi guys. I have had cholinergic urticaria since moving to a new location in 2016. Recently I had a tour for few days and all through the tour I did not experience CU.
On the day I returned to my base city, a friend of mine hinted that drinking water from the tap causes his skin to itch, and it just occurred to me that all through my tour I have not drank the same water I have been used to for the past two years – that is tap water.
So for the past several days, I have avoided drinking water from the tap, and I feel much better. I have been drinking bottled water since then. I went to the gym yesterday and I only felt a very negligible amount of itching and sweated effortlessly.
My hypothesis is that the tap water in my city may contain something that my sweat gland or whatever is allergic to, not sure though. Who else has tested this hypothesis? I am still watching my body reaction closely before I conclude on this hypothesis.
I wish you guys the best and I hope everyone finds out what works for them.
