For over 5 years I suffered from chronic urticaria. I started out having only delayed pressure urticaria and eventually progressed to full blown chronic urticaria everyday. Like everyone else reading this (I’d assume), I’ve been to more doctors and have had more test done with no results.
I depended on meds everyday. Well I haven’t had a single hive in two months. I made a serious life change. I started out with doing a 5 day juice cleanse. I only consumed vegetable and some fruit juice and water. After the 5 days I resumed eating. I eat 100% plant based and non processed. If I don’t understand what’s on the label I don’t eat it.
This was not an easy transition for me. I was a huge meat eater. I competed in bbq competitions…life long hunter, ect., but once I seen results I was satisfied that this was the answer.
If you suffer from chronic urticaria I suggest you try this, and take it seriously. Absolutely no animal products or processed foods. I never imagined a life without hives and here I am… freedom.
Good luck,

Wahoo! Thanks for sharing. Glad you’re remission process is working for you! I’m going to look into the juice clease. I know it’s all about diet change and that makes me cringe because I like to eat so many things! But only time will tell.
The humidity seems to some what help me sweat these days? but I still break out excessively when the sun is directly on me. Meditations only suppress the itch but i don’t think I can live without the antihistamines!

Hi Anne.
Glad to hear the humidity is helping with sweating. It’s been very humid in the northeast as well.

I developed CU 2 years ago ( I am 66 and it great health). Doctors were of no use. Anti-histamines did not work. I stumbled on the cure by accident. I started a serious diet to lose 30 pounds before I big 3 week vacation to Europe. Started diet in early Feb this year. Noticed I was not having symptoms are spring came. I walked my dogs, went to outdoor concerts with no issues. No issues while on cruise from Barcelona to Venice – and I totally went off the diet and ate bread and had desserts. But, the breads over there are not made with preservatives like ours is. Their bread lasts one day and is thrown out. I came back and decided to give myself a one month break from the diet. I started eating some bread, cookies, some candy… 5 days after I got back the CU came back. While on my diet, I did eat meat. Lots of steak and salads, whole foods, baked potatoes, too, with real butter. Get off margarine! I ate pork, I ate hamburger, chicken, fish, shrimp. So I don’t think it is meat. I firmly believe it is the crappy wheat flour and preservatives that is used in our bread and cookies, etc. As soon as I ate a big sandwich from Firehouse Subs, my CU came back. So, I am back on the diet starting this past Monday. Only eliminating bread and processed foods. I’ll see how I do. I also ordered some bread made from coconut flour. It hasn’t come yet, but I’m hoping I can tolerate that. I really like toast in the mornings. Good luck to you .
