About 4 months ago, as the weather began to get hot and humid, I noticed that I would get itchy. I’d scratch the area that was itchy and then break out into hives. That area would have hives for 10 minutes or so, and then it would move to another area on my body.
Another symptom I have is a stinging-like sensations all over my legs when I get out of the shower. It almost feels like bugs crawling up my legs.
Thank you,
-Chris W.

Hello, Chris.
It’s difficult to say for sure without seeing you in person (or being officially diagnosed by a doctor familiar with cholinergic urticaria). You said that the hives move to another part of your body. Cu tends to break out when a person becomes hot enough to sweat, and after they cool down, the reaction usually stops.
The itching on the legs thing sounds perhaps like an allergy to something in the water. I’d highly recommend you get a good shower filter (I have one by Culligan that cost about $15-20). There may be something in the water irritating your legs (chlorine, hard water, etc.). Or you may be coming into contact with something (lotion, grass, etc.), and when the water hits your legs, it activates it.
My mom had a similar problem with horribly itchy legs after a shower. My wife has that problem too if she shaves them and then takes a shower.
