Although my skin has been diagnosed differently each time, the latest dermatologist is convinced it is eczema. To that end he has recommended a shot that is relatively new on the market for extreme eczema sufferers, called Dupixent.
I only have a bad eczema breakout once or twice a year; however, many of the symptoms mimic urticaria throughout the year. The results sound promising, the cost high.
Curious if anyone else has either been recommended this drug or been treated with it.

I was in the a clinical trial and it helped my terrible eczema a bit but made my eyes absolutely terrible – itchy, weeping, red and nothing would help until I finally went off Dupixent and took 60mg of steroids for a few weeks. I was misdiagnosed with another auto-immune disease by 3 ophthalmologists (they thought I had Occipital Citrical Pemphigord, when in fact it was just symptoms of rubbing my eyes way too hard, aka Atopic Keratoconjuctivis, or AKC.
From what I understand the receptor Dupixent blocks, the IL-4 receptor, is HUGELY important for your immune system so a large chance of side effects, and IL-4, which causes itching everywhere else, acts as a signal to lubricate the eyes, so blocking it causes the eye problems I had.
That said, some people have been helped tremendously – just putting my experience out there.
