You’re probably tired (really tired!) of these hives that attack you suddenly when walking on the street. How can we describe the attack? Bees huge attack? Maybe that’s the closest description.
Does this sound familiar: Itchy red skin, extra sensitivity to sun and elevated temperature, you probably left the gym, and you feel very often really awkward, and these hives prevented you from enjoying the summer and the beach. In this article, I’m going to give you some advice, and tell you how my hives decreased nearly 95% , especially since every doctor you visit stands helpless and clueless, which has disappointed hundreds of sufferers.
Follow this guide to get rid of this Undefined Allergy: [Editor’s note: Always check with a doctor before trying any medications or exercise/sweat therapy]
1-Talk to your doctor about AERIUS tablets; it contains Desloratadine 5mg and Hydroxyzine, and take them regularly. Don’t miss any dose.
2-Stay warm. Yes, you read it right: keep your body temperature elevated, and don’t cool it down.
2-Expose your whole body to direct heavy strong sunlight for 20-30 minutes daily. Your skin should start feeling itchy, but just resist, resist, resist. When the situation gets TERRIBLE (it will!), cool down your body, and then go again to the sunlight. Your body should start sweating, especially your back and your chest. This is hard, because this allergy happens because the body can’t sweat properly–that’s what the doctors have recently said, after the latest experiences.
3-After doing this, run for 15 minutes, your skin will feel itchy in 3 to 7 minutes, resist , and decrease your speed until you finish the 15 minutes, we are trying here to make you sweat.
4-We’re at night now: go to your bed, wear heavy clothes, and get a hair dryer. Turn it on and set the temperature of air to medium, put it under your bed cover and get yourself under your cover. The hives should come back, but resist until your back becomes wet, because the most affected area from the hives is your forehead and your back.
5-You won’t smell good, so take a hot bath. You’ll feel itchy again, but just resist. Always resist (it’s hard, I know).
6-Within 2 to 3 weeks, your body should start sweating nearly properly like before. This is a good sign.
Precautions:
**Before following this guide, please DECREASE the sodium level in your body, which means to basically AVOID eating salt and olive.
**You’ll get disappointed the first week. Keep this in mind, and you’ll think you are no better, things will get better over time.
How do you know you’re getting better?
**Hives attack will become shorter, and you will notice that your body now supports higher temperatures that used to cause you hives before. This is a good sign, and you’ll be able to sleep, at least.
Hope you all feel better! Doctors gave us no help at all. God bless.

Ali , Thank you for trying to help us CU suffers. I have CU off and on for 30 years and it is with me now . My CU is severe with welts and does not respond to histamines . I have learn and I think anyone who has had CU for a period of time one size does not fit all, CU is a individual curse . I myself would not try the method you suggest although it might help another person . Anyone one with sever CU and if you have it you know what I mean an attack is enough to put you on the path of caution when dealing with this condition.

Indeed Aerius works very good (at least for me). This is consistent with the medical theory that acetylcholine (the neurotransmitter which activates sweat production) is (at least partly) involved in Cholinergic Urticaria.
In medical literature it is more and more recognized that anti-cholinergic medication counters – and unfortunately not cures – (at least a part of) the underlying disease mechanisms. Aerius is not only a anti-histamine (which is known for a while), but also has (full) anticholinergic properties. In short this means that Aerius ‘disactivates’ a certain receptor (muscarine3) of the sweat glands.
In the article ‘Anticholinergic Effects of Antihistamine Drugs Used in the Clinic’, in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 2007, January, Vol. 199, Issue 1, Supplement, Page s153 the following is stated:
“None of the studied drugs had agonist activity on any of the muscarinic receptor cell lines. In contrast, desloratadine and ketotifen were full antagonists at all five muscarinic receptor subtypes with potencies (IC50 values) ranging between 84 and 4938 nM. Little to no antimuscarinic activity was observed for cetirizine, epinastine and fexofenadine.”
In short: Aerius can be used to (partly) ‘prevent’ an hives outbreak because of the anti cholinergic properties, while other anti-histamines (without anti-cholinergic properties) can’t prevent an outbreak on itself and only can help countering the inflammatory reaction afterwards (when histamine is released – at the end of the causal chain).

Hmmm interesting. For number 2 and 3 I will just use my sauna to sweat instead. I am satisfied with the sauna treatment but I really want my CU to go away for good. I got used to the pain while I am in the sauna as a matter of fact I just listen to music and I ignore the pain completely.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, Ali H. I’m glad this appears to be working for you, and I hope your hives continue to improve. As Michael pointed out, sweat therapy and antihistamines don’t help everyone, but some individuals can benefit from both treatments.
For the individuals who do benefit from sweat therapy, some prefer to exercise, and others prefer to use a sauna. I just always caution people, especially those first trying it, to talk with a doctor first, and take all necessary precautions just in case they had a very severe reaction.
Thanks again for your post, and I hope you continue to do well.
God bless,

Hello guys,
I’d like to tell you that i’m typing thid right now while exposing myself to the warm sun, i’m topless and enjoying the sun.
So, I took Aerius for one week, and I walked under the heavy sunlight (at first, i probably thought i’m gonna die!!!) I got really mad and said :
I’ll either start sweating right now or I’ll let the CU kill me, i kept walking (3km/day)
I stopped the sauna though, AERIUS +exposure to sun helped me a lot, I’m now goin to take a bath , my whole body smells like **** , but i’m happy at least !
**the severe cases are FATAL ,i know what you’re saying pal, I’ve been there

Hi I have the more serious type – CU angiodema so I do need an epi pen. Luckily I haven’t needed to use it as I try to control it ( been in hospital a few times with it). For me it seems to affect me most if there is a big difference between core and skin temp. Anyone else experienced similar? I have had this about 16 years.
