Tylenol, Advil & Other Painkillers Help Cholinergic Urticaria?
Post by: Fal0x on September 01, 2010, 04:40:50 AM
Hi, I recently found this Forum and I guess I felt like maybe I should share what I found useful to do whenever I broke out with CHH, (Chronic Heat Hives), firstly, I just recently turned 16, and going through highschool with CHH blows, hard. Yesterday I had to go back to register, and even looking outside I realized it was going to be one long walk, and having hives breakout was going to be killer, especially infront of my friends.
My solution? I simply ate a lot of ice-cubes, took two tablets of painkillers, and took a cold shower before I left, and my experience walking to school was somewhat painful, but I noticed a difference enough for me to handle it and walk it off cooly without throwing my shirt off and rolling on broken glass to itch away the pain. Another thing I keep in mind is to “allow” it to pass and keeping calm also helps it go away, and yeah.
That was my story/solution thing.

Hey Fal0x,
Excellent post and welcome to the forum!
I definitely can relate to you when you say you want to roll around in broken glass! Ha!
That is a very interesting idea you had. Recently, I have been taking Tylenol for a cold/virus I have. I did kinda notice that the pricklies weren’t as painful while I had Tylenlol in my system.
Just be careful, because this stuff usually isn’t good if you take it too much (it can kill your liver/kidneys). But that is a very interesting idea on how to take the edge off.
Thanks again for sharing that great tip, and welcome to the forum!
