I’m a 28-year-old male, and I’ve been dealing with this condition for about two years now after coming down with a nasty viral infection. I used to be very active in sports, but sweating brings out the hives more than anything else. My body has progressively gotten more and more fatigued, probably as a result of such a sedentary lifestyle.
I was curious though: have you folks experienced a great deal of muscle fatigue while dealing with this condition? I don’t get hives all that often because I stay away from the things that trigger it, but my muscles have become very fatigued which is accompanied by some joint pain.
I’m wondering if it’s because of the constant battle going on within my body. Like many of you, I’ve been to a ton of specialists without as much as a diagnosis other than chronic hives. All tests have pointed to me being a healthy guy. I see a neurologist soon on my own behalf to rule out that sort of thing, but my doctors don’t thing it’s necessary.
Also, do you notice your skin being more transparent? I feel like my skin is red most of the time, and I can see my veins more than ever.
Thank you in advance,
Kris

Kris-
I have also been noticing some muscle fatigue with the recent onset of my hives… But I wouldnt say they are entirely related, and I dont know the proper jargon… but, the way I see it is that your/my muscles are craving the activity they have been used to for so long. They are not used to the levels of inactivity i am assuming you are now accustomed to… so they are in a sense shriveling up, or taking a break, or becoming dormant until we can someday comfortably take advantage of them again… does that make sense?

That does make sense shlee. I’ve been trying harder to be more active. it’s difficult at first but eventually I do start to feel better. Fatigue is a daily struggle but I’m hoping that if I maintain the activity, I’ll notice it start to fade.
Thank you for your response!
