I’ve had cholinergic urticaria since I was 15, and now that I’m 18, I still have this issue.
From what I have read is it true that it can be cured with rapid desensitization with autologous sweat. From what I have read most patients who were treated this way got better.
Thanks,
Aj

I do know that some researchers believe that cholinergic urticaria is divided into different subsets. For those with a genuine sweat allergy subset, this might work to eliminate it or minimize symptoms. However, I don’t recall many people on this forum trying this therapy, and it seems that it would be hard to find a doctor willing to do it (many don’t even know about cholinergic urticaria in the first place). If anyone has tried this treatment, I’m sure others would love to hear about it.
