Did Anyone’s Cholinergic Urticaria Develop After Stopping Athletics or Exercise?

It  seems that most of the people who had Cholinergic  Urticaria were doing a lot of sports or exercise or any kind of physical effort , and when they started to do less sports or exercise or when they stopped , they started getting this cholinergic urticaria.

For me I was playing soccer like crazy and when I started using Internet by the age of 14 , I started itching and that was the beginning.

Also my mother,  she was working hard before she get married (when she was living in her parents house), and when she got married, she started to work less that she used too in her parents house, and then she developed that urticaria .

So my question is this: Did you used to do a lot of exercise or any strong physical effort, and when you started to do a little effort or when you stopped, you got the itching ?

Another question : If the answer for the first question is yes, could the medicine be this: Do excessive exercise again so we can get back to the way we were before having it ?

    Hey, Ahmed.

    I was quite active a year or two before I first developed hives, but I was quite inactive for at least a year or so before they actually developed.

    It is interested how some people were very active, and then developed this after a period of inactivity. However, I wouldn’t say this is the cause for everyone. For example, some young children around toddler aged have this, and they would have never even experienced athletics or rigorous exercise at such a young age.

    So I wouldn’t think it was a factor in everyone, but it is interesting to ponder.

      I am not saying that it’s the main reason, but it might be one of the reasons along with other things.
      and for children , it could be something genetic or may be it’s about any kind of physical effort even if it was so little and then it stopped, or if the person used to sweat a lot and then started to sweat less than he used to.

      we’re just trying to figure out these things so may be it leads us to the real reason and therefor we find the medicine .

      and almost all of the comments so far are proving that point.

      I hope more people join this topic so we can get more information…

    I think there is truth here! I used to bboy (breakdance) and do popping dance almost everyday back in high school, day and night, all week. Such exercise had me sweating a lot. But when I started studying at uni I didn’t have that much time for such exercise and reduced it down to once a week. That’s when I started to have the urticaria :/

    I used to sweat everyday by playing football and athletics until I developed sports migraines, I couldn’t even run five yards without nearly passing out so a year of no sports later I developed it, now my migraines have gone I can do sports but I still itch

    I used to work out five days out of the week, running on threadmills and lifting weights at the gym but after I had a shoulder injury I couldnt continue to exercise so a year after I stopped working out, I developed this. I was one of the most active people around. Working out all weekday and playing soccer every weekend but not I cant do all that.

    I went through a stage where i was going to the gym every weekday, then playing football on the weekends. At this time i was the physically fittest i’ve ever been. As christmas came i stopped doing all of this as often, and in came the CU :L Just started exercising often again and feels like if i don’t sweat every day/ other day, the third day will be itching hell.

    I competed in strongman for four years. I trained hard and did sweat regularly during the training. I stopped competing because I had to get a job. I began not training with weights as much and my CU started about 6 months afterwards. On a side note, even though I was regularly competing in and training for competitions, I wasn’t in the best shape. I was the strongest I’ve ever been, but I carried excess body fat and lacked true cardiovascular fitness. I’ve since lost about 40 pounds and I plan on getting in better cardiovascular shape like when I was in the military. I’m 32 now by the way, and I’ve had CU about 1 1/2 years now.
