I’m 15 and Had Cholinergic Urticaria for 4 years Now–What Can I do?

May 2, 2015 by Forum Member

Hi,

My name is Derek, and I just found out what I really have (which is cholinergic urticaria). I have read all these stories, and I find it hard to know that I can’t have the life I used to have 4 years ago.

But I also found that I’m not the only one with this condition, which helps to know I’m not the only one. I read a lot of stories that relate to me which also is helping. To know that I could have this forever is very hard because I can’t have that of a good social life. I all ways seem to try and avoid to go out because I feel that u would be an burdened to my friends but I always try to hide it.

One thing I did realise was that last summer I had PE outdoors in the hottest day of the year, after running around for about 30mins playing football or soccer for those from US. I could see that my symptoms where going away this happened a few times. I found this unusual considering that I get a prickly, pins and needles feeling whenever hot. I also found that when abroad on holiday in Malta which is 5x hotter then UK I did get any eitchy feeling?

I really hope the is a way of curing this condition I really don’t want this feeling for ever
and I don’t want any one else having this feeling.

Please feel free to relply.

Thanks.

Derek
