Cholinergic urticaria not getting better

July 26, 2018 by Forum Member

Hello everyone.

I’ve been suffering from cholinergic urticaria for over 4 years now, and my cholinergic urticaria has slowly gotten worse over time. Since it’s summer, I’m experiencing CU multiple times a day. I’ve tried sweat therapy a few times, but it doesn’t really help; and it’s close to unbearable for me.

Recently, I have started breaking out from eating certain foods which also is concerning for me.

My main symptoms of CU is slight wheezing and itching/hives. I have taken antihistamines but they barely help at all. This has started to take a toll on my life a lot.

Hello, Lain. I’m sorry to hear of your pain. Since you’re breaking out from certain foods, have you considered trying an allergy elimination diet?

I’ve considered an allergy elimination diet but I’m not sure what foods to eliminate and how to diet for. I’m also concerned that I won’t have enough foods to choose from since I’m a picky eater.

I also have this condition.I am trying to manage it on my own. Antihistamines don’t really help. Im trying to eliminate things in my diet and I have switched laundry soaps to All free and clear. I am not giving up. I am now going to try goat milk bath soap which is supposed to be good for inflamed skin. I am open to any other ideas anyone might have. I am avoiding the doctor since I do not want to go on prednisone.

Hi i did a full body ‘clean out ‘ . i did an organic chicken bone broth cleanse for 2 weeks then ate raw vegan for 3 months doing very light yoga naked ( it slowed the hives coming up not all together but you know) . i also took omega 3 , sea buckthorn oil capsules , vit D , zinc , the 2 most important was a very high probiotic and quercetin !!!!! this stuff not only helped but cured its gone i just eat an alkaline diet and its hot showers and baths again not worrying about walking ( i stopped leaving the house and lost my job ) i even went to france on holiday and it was HOT i came up a lil on my temples and lips but it was tiny and not irritating and gone in mins . i really hope this helps but read a lot into alkaline diets i also suffer from very bad eczema and thats gone down as well . I wish you well i really don’t like doc they have never really helped with my eczema so thats why i choose the natural path and am sooooo glad i did .
