CU and Body Temperature

October 26, 2018 by Forum Member

For you guys with CU, has anyone been experiencing changes in body temperature? I’ve always had a hot body temp, which has caused trouble for me to sleep at night which I think is from working out a lot. But ever since CU kicked in for me, I feel like this issue has gotten out of control.

My body is like a fireplace. I wake up almost every night exactly at 2 am from being too hot (but not sweaty), and it’s freezing with my AC on in the room. Normal people can sleep even if it’s little hot, but sometimes I need to take a cold shower in the middle of the night to fall back asleep.

I noticed that when my CU is in remission I’m not as sensitive to the heat. I think CU is messing with my body temperature regulation. Any inputs?

Same thing for me. I have resorted to very cold showers. It seems to calm down the itching so I can get back to sleep. But I will admit, this condition is wearing me down. I have been suffering for 5 months now. It almost never goes away, Under the care of an allergy specialist, I have been taking antihistimines and Zolair shots. I have had 5 shots so far with minimal relief. I gave up chocolate and alcohol and still no relief. I am about to try a chiropractor.
