How I Defeated Cholinergic Urticaria

June 28, 2017 by Forum Member

Hi, my name is Cameron, and this is how I defeated cholinergic urticaria. Please note that before you try any of this, Please talk to your doctor and make sure it’s okay!

1. Every morning, I would either go out for a jog or take a very hot shower. Usually what this does is, it’ll open up my pores and make me start sweating in the shower. IF you decide to run, try to take it slow, don’t automatically start sprinting otherwise your body may break out.

2. I do this sometimes: I’ll go outside (usually around the middle of the day), and I’ll start meditating in the sun (depending on the temps). Usually I can start sweating here, but I’ll definitely feel the hives at first. I just have to will myself past them and the itchiness, and I’ll start sweating.

I have been hive free for over a year now! I love that I can instantly start sweating. And for everyone that’s struggling, trust me it’ll get better, you just can’t give up. And also I’m not on any medications. I beat cholinergic urticaria through self will and determination.

In my honest opinion, number 1 works the best because I’ll start sweating in the shower and I’ll be okay for the rest of the day. In the winter time, I can take a hot shower and sit near a heater and I’ll definitely start sweating.

Thanks,

Cameron

Cameron, thanks for sharing! How long did you have to do this daily routine before you found relief?

Thanks for sharing Cameron! How much do you attribute to the calming of the mind through meditation?

So I too and my daughter have that hole in one ear. I get hives as well but from the cold called cold urticaria I don’t get heat hives but I do get really itchy skin as my body heats up or from a hot shower but as I have gotten older now in my late 30’s I sweat really easily so it does not happen as much.

I have developed cold uticaria in the last 6 months or so, mild at first but now getting worseI haven’t figured out WHY I get it now or how to combat it.
