Hello, everyone! Hope you are all doing fine.
First of all, I want to thank Ben and all the members for sharing with us this amount of information! I am 22 years old male and have been dealing with cholinergic urticaria and anxiety for two years. This is making me feel down, especially, that sports work best for my anxiety!
My cholinergic urticaria seems to happen during winters only. Whenever I walk under the sun, exercise or take a hot shower hives would come. I noticed the inability to sweat. My skin would have these tiny points like goose bumps just before breaking out in hives.
I will try the Turkey, Sweet Potato, Broccoli and rice diet but my question is: do I have to reduce dairy products intake? Additionally, here in Lebanon we eat a lot of white bread. Do I have to stop that too?
I also tried the exercise therapy but hives seem never to stop! I have been taking hot showers for a couple of days now in order to mimic the effect of a sauna machine. Can that work?
Thanks in advance for your replies and good luck in overcoming hives!

SAUNA, EXFOLLIATE WITH FACE CLOTH IN HOT SHOWERS,PUT VITAMIN E LIQUID ON RASH AREAS AND AFTER SHOWERS WHEN ITCH SENSATION FOLLOWS PUT SARNA CREAM ON AREAS. WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING AND AFTER SWEATING SHOWER IMMEDIATLY, I THINK WE ARE GETTING A REACTION TO OUR OWN SWEAT. THE KEY IS TO SWEAT AND CLEAR OFF SWEAT AND SARNA CREAM HELPS.

Kamel, my son, age 31, like you, has it in the winter only. He tried many things, including medicine and shots, which did nothing for him at all. His chiropractor helped him figure out that he has a sensitivity to sugar, even the sugar in most fruits. He also has to avoid caffeine. He runs and works out with weights in order to sweat. He has to do this at least every 2 days. As long as he does these things, he has only minor problems with the Cholinergic Urticaria. But it took him several months to figure all this out. Your problem could be coming from another source. But it seems that most people have a food issue of some sort.
If sugar is an issue for you, white bread would likely also cause you a problem, as well as anything else that is highly refined, like white pasta, white rice, etc.
Good luck on this journey. I will pray for you.

Marcia – My son (16) seems to have similar experience to yours. We just went to (holistic) chiropractor this weekend and found out he has a number of sensitivities including gluten, yeast, piperine, egg yolks, apples, pistachios, some ingredients in personal care products, a fragrance and yellow 5 additive. We are now working to try just reducing as much gluten and yeast as we can. It’s really tough to do all this. We’re going to try this before going to Xolair shot (just a treatment). He has found the thing that works most is if he runs 4 times a week (he’s cross country runner). If he goes 3 days or more his CU is much worse. Definitely way worse in the winter.
