Hello,
I have recently been diagnosed with this condition (today actually) after over a year of various doctors not knowing and me trying to work out the cause on my own!
The hives that I present with, however, are not pinprick-like. It starts as quite a large, white, raised area of skin, and then becomes itchy and increases in size. At its biggest, it is like a round raised white area with redness in the middle and surrounding, sometimes as large as my stomach area!
Does anyone else present with this rather than small pinprick hives?
Thank you in advance,
Amber

Hi amber,
I had something similar to this although that was due to my eczema condition

Hi Amber,
Personally, I don’t experience exactly what you are saying, however, my stomach will often flush (red) almost entirely as a reaction begins. From here, in the span of about 10 minutes, the flushing usually turns into small pinpricks. I find especially that if I continue to allow my body to stay warm, some of the red spots turn white, or perhaps “clear.”
