Fantastic Book!

May 14, 2018 by Forum Member

Hello,

I am a 22-year-old, in college, and have just discovered there was a name for my condition, which led me to this site.

I bought the book, instantly, and read it on my way home (Sunny Florida) were I am about to spend my time in the sun.

This book was so helpful! And I loved the tips and answers you saved me from having to research myself. I have been dealing with this for 5 years now…got it at the age of 18 I believe.
I am going to try this new diet and hope it works or helps me create a starting ground for diet testing as I have noticed my symptom has been correlated with my diet as well.

I am also a Christian, so the reference to God and praying was encouraging and influential with this journey I am about to partake on. Thank you for sharing your story! God has truly used you!

-Suzzanna

I don’t mind answering at all. Oddly enough I never knew what I had and did not have the medical insurance to find out so I found ways go manage.
One being I always worked out!
In my first year of college i worked out 5 days straight for 1-2 hours…basically once i started getting a rash and my hives would break out…i would go back to the dorm or work out at late hours when no one did. During this time i never did anything that would bring out my hives except work out so my life was pretty managable as i always kept myself in a cool enviorment and never tried to do any activity that would abrupt it (jogging outside, played some fun sport games but leave the game when it was getying bad).
Most of time in college i just embraced it…when i would have a reaction i would just let it show and calm my self down. I stopped scratching after aboit 1 year of having it and it seemed the scratching irritation was managable from then on…and dont have the urge to scratch as much.
One time in college i went on a diet my sophmore year….just went straight healthy( salads, smoothies etc) no junk food at all or milk while working out…and babam!! I went to the gym and nooo hives!!!! Just pure sweat that i stayed for more than hour and continued….i think the combination of sweat therapy and diet helpes. Although i never kept track of what i ate that week and dont know why my CU stopped.
During that time i didnt even realize that happened until i looked back.
I am junior now and i eat whatever i want but still get my CU….i just dont do any activities that can cause my CU to come about…i stopped working out and just took notice of when my body would have a reaction and try to calm down in anyway i could. I even played intamural soffball and did fine and when i reaccted i would tell them i had to sit out.
Now this simmer im working on getting it cure because i am also going to haiti for weeks.
