Hello, I’m an 18-year-old male who recently (this fall) started getting symptoms of cholinergic urticaria. I didn’t know what it was, and I thought it would go away, so I ignored it. I returned for college break in late December and finally told my mom about how it’s been bothering me.
I didn’t tell her sooner because I don’t like to indulge people with my problems (which is usually not a good idea), but I finally told her. She took it much more serious than me. We went to the doctor and somehow she was able to point me in the direction of cholinergic urticaria. She put me on Zyrtec, but I’m going in for allergy testing soon so, I only used it for like 3 days.
Anyways, I started doing my own research since the doctor doesn’t have a cure, and I don’t think Zyrtec is a long-term answer for me. I’m interested in sweat therapy, but I want to try a diet first to minimize how difficult it is to sweat. I somewhat started the diet two days ago, but I’ve heard many good things about fasting so I’m going to do that first then go with the diet.
My question is has anyone tried fasting? If so, how long and did you drink water only? Also, I don’t have the book so If anyone can me a lot of details on the diet that would be helpful. I seen someone say white rice, chicken, and some fruits but I’d like to know with more detail if anything else has worked.
I’m so glad I found this site because I feel like I’m headed toward getting rid of this thing and leading a healthier lifestyle.
Last thing – After reading a lot of your articles I just want to say I’m amazed of how determined you all are and wish you the best to keep fighting it.
Don’t give up!

Sauna helps me a lot. Had for a year then woke up and it was gone. Then 9 months later it came back not as strong but back. Hope it goes again soon
