I hope the following will help sufferers of this annoying condition. My ‘stinging’ was always worse when I returned to my hospital in Glasgow. The ward was always overheated, stuffy and with poor ventilation. I had no control over the temperature as it was regulated externally.
To sit in a room and receive a highly detailed nursing report whilst I had the feeling of ‘ants’ stinging all over my body. I realized I had to do something and quick as I could not just walk out of a room to cool off somewhere. I also had problems at home with the showers, I could not stand under it, even at the coolest setting without getting the sting. The resulted in me splashing water about myself.
I read that Green tea might help, so I decided to buy capsules, and I took two daily. I also supplemented this with the occasional cup of green tea.
As I felt my urticaria may be stress induced, I decided to try to relax a bit more. I would also say in my head when i got the sting ” this feeling will pass” over and over again like a mantra.
After taking Green tea for two weeks now my cholinergic urticaria is now virtually gone, and yes, I can put my head and body under the shower.
I hope this helps fellow sufferers and I send you king regards.
-Andrew

Thanks for taking the time to share that, Andrew. I added a link above about other discussions of tea and cholinergic urticarial. I hope your hives continue to do well.
