I had never had any problems with food allergies and rarely with any environmental allergies my whole life. I’m 42 and have been pretty much able to eat almost anything. I had my gallbladder removed in november 2013, and about a month after that I started developing hives on my legs stomach and some of my arm. I went for allergy testing and came up allergic to some food and had patch testing 5 months ago and still have a pink square on my back from the nickel.
I had the ALCaT 200 food panel intolerance testing, and have a list of foods to try to avoid. I have apparently developed keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms and things that never bothered me now bother me.
Polyester, certain fabrics, sitting outside or walking but not even in the heat I will get rash everywhere. Nobody seems to know why, but the only thing that changed was I had my gallbladder removed. Ever since then I have really not felt well and it’s quite frustrating trying to find food to eat when you’re allergic to wheat rye barley soy and rice and many other food apparently. If I sit too long I will get marks in weird areas on my legs as well.
Has anybody been in a similar situation or had weird things like this happen after gallbladder removal surgery? Desperately trying to find a solution. I have been on every allergy medication and steroids and believe I’m allergic to prednisone and some of the allergy medications as well. Any help is appreciated.
