Hi,
My son who is 16 gets red, blotchy patches on his legs and feet whenever exposed to heat or whenever he feels hot. No itching and doesn’t bother him. The blotches disappear as soon as he cools down.
Is this cholinergic urticaria or just a sensitivity to heat? Allergic to his own sweat? They just look like the red blotches you would get after having a hot shower, but really red. Haven’t taken him to a GP as by the time we get there the blotches will most definitely disappear.
I’m used to hives being itchy dots or welts not this type of blotchiness/flushing?? Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Probably started when he was about 13.
Thanks

Sounds like it is just blood coming to the surface from heat. 🙂 if it doesn’t bother him Inwouldn’t worry too much but it is probably the body’s warning that he’s hot enough and have him cool down.
