In summer, does cholinergic urticaria go away?

June 15, 2016 by Forum Member

It’s weird but my cholinergic urticaria is gone. It is now summer here (75° F).

Also I don’t have any redness my body (even in winter) . Just itching when hot or doing exercise.

I have to find control in winter and autumn days.

Can a gym or sauna help my condition during winter?

What about you guys?

(By the way, sorry, English is not my first language!)

Thanks,

Kalinic

My prickly itchy condition goes away during the warm months. then it comes back when it is cold outside and I have to turn on the heat system in the house.

I’ve had the same experience, but my hives are visible on my hands and arms. I’m looking into moving to an area where it’s warm all year so I don’t have to deal with hives. Some studies have shown that Cholinergic Urticaria is seasonal for some people.

This is my first summer with CU, and it has been much less severe than it was during cooler seasons. The hives have been much less pronounced,

It took a little longer this summer but my CU cleared up a few weeks ago. In the winter I would get it but it wouldn’t be too bad. April and May though I had some severe outbreaks.
