Is Cholinergic Urticaria Related to the Brain?

March 30, 2016 by Forum Member

Does cholinergic urticaria have any relation with the brain? For example, is it a neuroprotective or
nervous system disease.

I apologize in advance for my English (it’s not my native language).

Thanks,

Tony

Everyone is different, but it is definitely related to cholinergic brain system in my case. I am 24 years old and this is my fifth year coping with heat. So far, only Atarax helped with itching and I still get red bumps on daily basis. I tried different medication and nothing works. This year it spread on my neck and face as well. Some scientists believe that some affected individuals may be hypersensitive to abnormally elevated levels of a substance in the body that transmits nerve impulses (the neurotransmitter acetylcholine).

I was taking nootropics for a while and I noticed that when I take specific nootropics which increase neuro impulses or production of acetylcholine like Noopept or Aniracetam, my urticaria is at least 100 times worse. I never tried other nootropics that also increase histamine levels in human body (Modafinil) as I am not interested to risk that much.

I just bought bunch of vitamins (C, D, B..), Nettle root extract, Quercetin, Probiotics, magnesium etc. and tomorrow I will start taking them regularly. Hopefully, they will help me cope with my urticaria.

Yes this disease mess up with your mind a lot multiple times . whenever you don’t sweat for a long time ,In my case I feel lot heavier my head and even hands-legs remain a lot hotter throughout the day .
If you try to take it positively , You can possible reduce the severity of itching . So don’t stress out a lot .
And try to sweat If you weren’t doing one from a long time . This will remove your internal heat and you will get better .
