Leg cramps and Cholinergic Urticaria?

April 10, 2015 by Forum Member

Do leg cramps have anything to do with cholinergic urticaria? I got cholinergic urticaria like 4-5 months ago. I play ball occasionally, and it has been really tough with heat hives. Because I don’t sweat like I used to before CU, I barely played ball. Never have I gotten leg cramps playing basketball.

So ever since cholinergic urticaria, I have gotten it after 3-4 pick up games. It’s really frustrating. From the surreal pins point itching to the inability to do any physical activities. The muscle just tighten up and I can’t do anything other than collapse to the floor.

I want to play ball so I could my body and skin to release the sweat. I barely sweat and when I think my body would sweat more, cramps pops up. What is it that my body is not distributing water correctly?

Thanks,

mypbball

    Hey Mypbball,
Sorry to hear about the cholinergic urticaria and cramping issues. I never got cramps like you described during attacks. I did, however, have some cramping from time to time, especially those obnoxious toe cramps. I would get a lot of muscle twitches, too.

Diet had a lot to do with it. I think I was also a bit deficient in vitamins. You may want to consider checking your vitamin and mineral levels, such as vitamin D, calcium, and potassium. You could also consider taking a multivitamin to see if that helps with the cramping (check with a doctor first). I take a Centrum multivitamin daily.

Either way, I hope the cramping and CU goes away soon.
    God bless,
    Ben

The cramps didn’t happen during the attack. Never in 21 years of life had I ever gotten leg cramps from physical activities. That’s why I’m associating CU with the cramps.

Idk. I’ll run some test again see any improvements on my CU
