What kind of probiotics are members taking for hives? I am 28 years old and have had chronic hives since my 7th grade year. I am trying new things to try to help it and considering the candida cleanse. I am looking into probiotics and for those who take it, may I ask what kind you are taking?
Thanks,
Jyellowhair

I’ve used most all big brands: Align, Digestive Advantage, Culturelle, Probiotic Pearls, etc. I’ve had mixed results in terms of digestion.
With respect to hives, that’s a different story. Some research has shown that probiotics may have an affect on allergic disorders. I do think they help some. After all, most of the human immune system is located in the intestinal system. Nevertheless, probiotics alone probably won’t cure your hives.
I like Digestive Advantage best. It seems to give me the best results, and it’s relatively inexpensive. Always check with a doctor before supplementing, however.

Hello,
I know my experience may be not strictly be a hives related problem but I have recently commenced using a probiotic called Eczema Relief.
It is sold here in Australia by Ethical Nutrients and contains the probiotic lactobacillus rhamnosus.
It’s only day 5 since I started and I’ll let you know if I succeed in overcoming my current skin problems.
Great forum.
