Hey everyone, what a relief it is to know that there are other people across the globe battling this stuff and sharing their experiences on this forum.
Let me start by saying that this pesky cholinergic urticaria has been bothering me now since the start of December. I always remember walking into class quite quickly, as I didn’t want to be late, and then the minute I stepped in the warm class room, I’d stop in my tracks up due to this intense burning/tingling sensation. I always thought nothing of it but it became rather annoying and I just couldn’t avoid it, forcing myself to freezer by going out in just a hoodie so i don’t have to deal with the itching when I have a coat on.
Now its been just over two months since this madness and I’ve been reading all the advice given here about watching my diet and sweat therapy. I have a hunch that sweat therapy may be the one that helps me most as I remember one night a few weeks ago I woke up from a nightmare and my bed sheets were soaked with sweat and this is coming from a guy who doesn’t sweat AT ALL!
The next morning and throughout the day I did not feel a single itch, this even went on until the following day. So I do believe that sweat therapy might be what helps, Just ordered some running shoes so I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on that.
(I’ll also continue to tweak my diet and cut out processed food/excess sugar/dairy.)
Hoping that I can solve this issue before it turns super severe, can anyone confirm if this CU that we all seem to suffer from is the same that a few people on YouTube I’ve read that have something similar but with much more extreme symptoms (such as swelling, not being able to sleep with a quilt, rashes that don’t clear up for weeks).
Anyway, wishing anyone and everyone suffering from this rubbish all the best.
Keep fighting!
