I’ve had cholinergic urticaria for a while now, which has made working out really hard for me. I’ve went to my doctor, and my doctor said it was alright to exercise. But my symptoms are also getting worse, so I’m worried exercising will contribute in making it worse.
I’ve tried an allergy elimination diet, which unfortunately didn’t work for me. My symptoms of cholinergic urticaria are hives, itching, slight swelling in affected areas (neck, arms, legs, body), and slight wheezing.
Should I exercise?

Sweat therapy isn’t safe for everyone, but it does work for some people with cholinergic urticaria. The biggest risk would be that you’d either pass out or go into anaphylactic shock (and potentially die or be rushed to the ER). Though rare, those anaphylactic reactions have happened in people with cholinergic urticaria. And depending on the severity of your hives, you might have to endure intense itching during the process.
If your doctor says it’s okay to try, I’d recommend being very cautious. It would be a good idea to have some people with you in the event that you have a severe reaction, and it would also be a good idea to have an Epi-Pen on hand.

I can’t understand how some people use excercising for sweat therapy while having CU. In my case it is hard for me to break sweat, so excercising and trying to do it is just a long and painful way, I rather choose sauna
